On everyone finding their on happy place
The more I tool around this planet – and, for that matter, see the contentment in the faces of friends and family as I scroll through my Facebook feed – the more I observe that happiness is as different as every person with a concept of what happiness is. There is no instruction manual for the important things in life – marriage, raising kids, having a fulfilling career. There is no right way…no generic mandate on how to live “the good life”…no one way to relate to people when relationships are as different as the individuals that occupy them.
In the absence of a prescribed roadmap, we have the opportunity to chart our own course. And for that freedom, we are lucky. Relish it, define your own standards, goals, dreams and bucket list…one all your own.
Because, my friends, there are no blueprints for a happy, well-lived life.
