Thanksgiving Morning Sweat Out

I love Thanksgiving. A holiday centered on family, food and cooking? Yes, please. In addition to these, I also try to add some exercise into the festivities.

For more than a decade, one of my best friends and I would organize a team for the So Others Might Eat Turkey Trot for Hunger. But since having the boys, I haven’t been able to get it together in time to organize a team.

Last year, we gathered friends for an early morning family walk. But since this year is one of the coldest Thanksgivings on record, I’m letting everyone sleep in.Before we head down to Richmond to celebrate with my hub’s family, I fit in a Pop Sugar Fitness workout.

I did a 60-minute video instead of my normal 30 minutes as a nod to the extra calories I’ll be eating later today. (I realize it would be more effective to also do long workouts on days in which I eat a regular menu.) It was a fun workout by Jeanette Jenkins. According to my fitness app, I burned more that 600 cals.

Gobble, gobble.
